How to pay a Water & Sewer Bill:
Water & sewer bills can be paid in advance by cash, cashier's check, money order, personal check, Visa or MasterCard, and automatic bank drafting. Any electronic payments received after 5 pm will be posted on the next business day.
Who to Pay:
All forms of payment are to be made payable to the Summerton Water Department. We also accept all major Debit/Credit cards online at www.summertonwater.com or over the phone 803-574-1963. There is also a DROPBOX located outside the Town Hall where payments can be made. It is checked daily on weekdays. NO CASH PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED THROUGH THE DROPBOX.
Where to send your payments:
You may send payments to the Summerton Water Department, P.O. Box 279, Summerton, SC 29148. When making payments - whether in person at the office, depositing it in the drop box or by mail - please include the bottom portion of your bill.
Charges become past due at 5 pm on the 15th of the month. If the 15th falls on the weekend or a holiday then late fees will be applied at 5 pm the next business day. Late fees will be applied as follows: $5.00 for late payment after the above time and date.
Bills must be paid in full by the close of business day on the 20th of the month. If the 20th falls on the weekend or a holiday then cut-off will be at 5 pm on the next business day. Service cut-off will be on the 21st of the month or the next business day if the 21st falls on a weekend or holiday.The reconnect fee is charged whether or not your service has been disconnected.
All water and sewer charges, plus the $5.00 late fee and the $25.00 reconnection fee must be paid in full before service can be restored during normal business hours. An additional fee of $15.00 along with the re-connection fee of $25.00 will be added for after hours and weekend re-connections. Town of Summerton personnel are not responsible for notifying customers of cut-off for non-payment on the 21st of the month.

All cashier's checks and money orders are to be made payable to the Summerton Municipal Court, If you have any questions about your payment, you can call the Toll-Free Call Center at 877-591-8768 or visit our payment website: www.myfinepayment.com.

What is the physical address of the Summerton Municipal Court:
The Summerton Municipal Court is located in the Town Hall at 10 Main Street, Summerton, SC 29148. The courtroom is located in the rear of the building; entrance may be gained through the front of the building. The Clerk of Court Office is the first office on the left once inside the Town Hall.
Should you need a payment received before license goes under suspension, please contact the office at 803-485-2525 Ext. 2 before 12 pm on the business day to enable the Clerk to get information faxed to DMV in a timely fashion. Please note: DMV’s require at least a 24-72 hour time frame to process all suspension documents.
You or your payment needs to be in court when the judge rules on your case (ticket). If you are unable to attend court, please have your payment submitted on or before your court date to avoid having additional penalties added.Should this occur, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will also be notified of the upcoming suspension of your driver’s license due to non-payment of fines.
